I had plans to spend 6 months backpacking from March- and obviously that was cancelled so now I’m itching to get away. I’ve seen air bnb’s all over Greece for mid September for cheap, and flights to and from are really cheap too. I was wondering if anyone has travelled to Greece yet? How has it recovered? Are public transport, ferry's and things like that running? Do you think it would be a good idea or something I should put on hold for a bit longer..? I’ll obviously only book refundable things encase rules change again! :)

Hi I actually live in greece and more specificallly in athens. As @hys84 said we cant be certain of how things are going to be in the next few weeks but as for now even though the regulations are a bit stricter than it was in the summer (due to a raise in daily covid cases) they're not that bad. In athens and in other tourist places like mnay of the islands and big cities all the bars and cafeterias are required to close at 12am but if you visit a not so popular destination (like many places in pelloponisos ) that doesn't apply.
