So I love health and fitness but also love to party and due to hostels being such social places I get sucked into the drinking/party side of things.
Which is great, but, it means that I'm also super tired/hungover a lot of the time and therefore often don't use my days to the fullest. Lets be honest, the last thing you want to do when your hungover is hike up a mountain in the hot summers heat!
Once I've managed to get myself out of bed usually all I can bear doing is going to the beach or chilling around the hostel pool.
So I want to be able to have fun and party but also keep fit and energised throughout my travels.

If you have money book a mountain hike nearly killed me but it was also the most physical effort I have ever put into anythin.
Resistance bands are great because theyre super light and barely take up any space but can give you really go workouts! Obviously not if you're tired etc but for when you want to do an effective quick workout they're perfect :)
I will sometimes choose to stay at a less social hostel and then go to the social hostel for fun times - especially if I know I have a few days with activities that requires me to be fresh and full of energy.
Omg I relate to this so much 😅 My only current solution is to just be strict with myself and if I know I want to do something that requires a lot of energy the next day, I will force myself to have an early night.
Obviously when all your new friends are going out, this is much harder to stick to haha but if the intent is there and if you can rope your new friends onto whatever you’re doing the next day as well, it’s a bit easier!
